David Hook joined the law office in 2000, after serving for six years in the United States Army. David's military service included two tours of duty in Bosnia. David is the son of Attorney Joan Nelson Hook, who opened the law office as a sole practitioner in 1993.
When David originally joined the law office he worked as a legal assistant in the area of Medicaid planning, assisting clients and handling the application process for clients' Medicaid benefits. During this time, David was also completing his undergraduate degree at Saint Leo University.
In 2003, David graduated magna cum laude from Saint Leo, with a Bachelor's degree in political science and a minor degree in criminology. David was accepted into an accelerated law school program and received his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University Law School in Miami, Florida. While at law school, David concentrated his legal education on Elder Law and other subjects that are encompassed by an Elder Law practice.
David was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005, and joined the law firm as a partner. He practices in the areas of Guardianship, Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and he recently developed and implemented Life Care Planning in the Tri-County (Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas) area. David is committed to meeting the needs of our clients by assisting elderly and disabled individuals and their families as they confront the challenges of aging in the 21st century.
